Produced in 1959. It was designed for invalids of the Second World War. It has 0,5 liter two-cylinder engine and automatic gearbox. It was only produced as experimental model – it never went into mass production.

GAZ-M-21 Volga

Produced 1956-1970. Its more known by its famous name Volga and its one of the most famous Soviet cars.

There are many modifications of this car (some with more powerful engines). These will be added here later. A little known fact: some Volgas were had automatic gearbox!

Produced 1941-1948. During war production of GAZ-11-73 was halted (1942-1944). There is also convertible version named GAZ-40. GAZ-11-41 picup version was also planned but only prototypes were made. Instead new model GAZ-M-415 was produced. Total 1250 GAZ-11-73 cars were produced.

GAZ-M-1 interior

Produced 1936-1942. Its based on 1933 Ford-V8-40 but was first soviet car engineered to withstand local roads. It has hydraulic suspension and new better shock absorbers. Name M-1 comes from the foreign minister V. M. Molotov (Molotov-no. 1). It was the furst russian car to have automatic ignition and adjustable front seats. Because of letter M it was often called “Emka”. In 1939 engine ventilation holes were modified. Total 62 888 units were produced.
