Produced 1950-1965. 1947-1950 basically the same truck was produced under name YaAZ-200. This is the firs soviet diesel truck (technically YaAZ-200). Both looks and the engine (GMC-4-71) was copied from a General Motors truck.

There are also dump truck version MAZ-205, trailer tractor AZ-501 and 4×4 MAZ-502 flatbed truck.

Produced 1950-1971. This 20-seat bus is based on GAZ-51 truck. In 1961 it this bus received some modifications and was named to PAZ-651A. Production of this bus was in PAZ and in KAvZ factory so sometimes its referred as KAvZ-651.

There is also ambulance modification named PAZ-653 which was produced 1950-1956 and closed body vans PAZ-657 and PAZ-659 that were produced 1950-1958. Last two vans were often used as portable stores.

Produced 1950-1959 (First prototype was already built in 1948). Total 21 527 units were produced. Three copies of convertible GAZ-12 were built for the government elite. Also ambulance was built and it was named GAZ-12B
