Pro­duced 1950–1959 (First pro­to­type was already built in 1948). Total 21 527 units were pro­duced. Three copies of con­vert­ible GAZ-12 were built for the gov­ern­ment elite. Also ambu­lance was built and it was named GAZ-12B

Pro­duced 1950–1971. This 20-seat bus is based on GAZ-51 truck. In 1961 it this bus received some mod­i­fi­ca­tions and was named to PAZ-651A. Pro­duc­tion of this bus was in PAZ and in KAvZ fac­tory so some­times its referred as KAvZ-651.

There is also ambu­lance mod­i­fi­ca­tion named PAZ-653 which was pro­duced 1950–1956 and closed body vans PAZ-657 and PAZ-659 that were pro­duced 1950–1958. Last two vans were often used as portable stores.

Pro­duced 1950–1965. 1947–1950 basi­cally the same truck was pro­duced under name YaAZ-200. This is the firs soviet diesel truck (tech­ni­cally YaAZ-200). Both looks and the engine (GMC-4–71) was copied from a Gen­eral Motors truck.

There are also dump truck ver­sion MAZ-205, trailer trac­tor AZ-501 and 4x4 MAZ-502 flatbed truck.
