Produced 1961–1993. In the beginning the model name was GAZ-53F (produced 1961–1966). It had forcified GAZ-51 engine with 90 hp power output. Soon it received a new ZMZV8 115 hp engine and the model was named GAZ-53 (produced 1964–1965). In 1965 GAZ-53 had another face-lift, now the max payload was increased to 4000 kg and the model was named GAZ-53A. Under that name it was produced until 1993. It had many modifications and it was one of the most common trucks in Soviet Union and it can be seen on the streets even now!
There are many-many modifications of this truck like long cabin version, firetruck — even a bus is built based on GAZ-53. Also GAZ-53 is available as flatbed and as dump-truck.

Produced 1961. This prototype was based on ZAZ-966 but it never went to production. The engine was located in back of the car which didn’t leave much room for the cargo. The first version had flatbed for cargo. Soon whole family of ZAZ-970 vans were produced. Only prototypes though from which some was probably only designed on paper. ZAZ-970B — cargo van
ZAZ-970v — 6 seat passenger carrier ZAZ-970G — flatbed
Alson 4x4 modifications of ZAZ-970B and ZAZ-970G were planned (ZAZ-971B and ZAZ-971G) but it seems that even the prototypes weren’t produced.
